Business analysts (BAs) are responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver a solution design that meets those needs. Business analyst’s main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role a person should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

What you will be doing

  • Lead a Business Analysis Practice to upskill the BA group and instill best practices within processes and people.
  • Industry SME in one or more verticals for regulations, policies, procedures and overall best practices. 
  • Active contribution to design, launch, and sale of new service offerings.
  • Involvement in scope assessment, effort estimation and positioning of Professional Services in Pre-Sales settings
  • Introduce and educate PS team to new product features and their usage patterns.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders & contributors.
  • Understand our clients’ business requirements and objectives while ensuring alignment with the HID solution to drive desired business outcomes.
  • Ownership of scope in multiple client-facing engagements including requirements analysis, solution design, customizations, CRs, documentation, client expectation management, feasibility assessments, etc.
  • Drive meetings with third party vendors on project scope, requirements, and solution
  • Liaison with Product and Engineering teams for new and upcoming features
  • Conducts business modeling and story boarding with client team to capture requirements.
  • Participate in the Product Roadmap, Feature Request Process, Gate Meetings, etc. to adequately represent the needs of client projects and to stay abreast of changes and enhancements.
  • Develop and own business scenario-based acceptance document to ensure validation of client requirements upon delivery.
  • Own and develop relationship with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance our integrations.
  • Help design, document, and maintain system processes.
  • Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to product team.
  • Participate in client facing product meetings (Advisory board)
  • Collaborate with pre-sale on scoping, estimation, and solution design.

What we are looking for    

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Business Analysis, with at least 5 years in a client-facing capacity
  • Bachelors in a technical or business discipline.
  • Proven experience in eliciting requirements, solution design, and solution delivery in an advisory/SME role.
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.
  • Solid experience in writing SQL queries
  • Understanding of JIRA and Oracle
