The Position: What you will be doing: Summary of job

HID is seeking an energetic, innovative Procurement Manager to join the fulfillment operations group based in our HID Headquarters at Austin, TX. The Procurement Manager is a collaborative position that plays a key role in the success of the N. America Fulfillment Operations. This position will support all fulfillment activities to improve inventory management, material flow, order management, and customer service.

 

  • Key stake holder in overall inventory and order fulfillment performance with regards to attainment, quality, delivery, safety, and process improvement.
  • Leads and / or Collaborates with appropriate associates to establish projects and action plans directed at improving business performance (with a heavy focus on KPI’s).
  • Communicates status, risk, and issues associated with action plans and projects to appropriate leadership within the organization and takes responsibility for actions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Controls the general health of procurement and production control (including but not limited to culture, team cohesiveness, workload, morale, etc) and provides feedback on individual and team performance to senior leadership.
  • Fosters a Lean / Six Sigma culture of continuous improvement and waste reduction through application of structured process discipline.
  • May organize benchmarking, training, seminars, professional organizations, perform reading, attend webinars, or perform research to increase business operations knowledge
  • Presents business cases and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management for process improvement.
  • Assists in the development and review of budgets and headcount plans.
  • Manage inventory performance (inbound, outbound, net value, inventory turns, slow / obsolete / excess)
  • Enable sales to meet growth targets and objectives while operating within business standards
  • Maintain the flow of fulfillment via backlog / order management
  • Coordinate and perform scheduling tasks – reschedule, holds, ATP maintenance

 

What we are looking for:

  • B.S degree preferred, or equivalent combination of training and related experience
  • Lean Manufacturing / 6-sigma knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with different levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented mindset. 
  • 3-5 years of supply chain experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Must be able to plan, organize and implement multiple concurrent tasks
  • Drives for results through timely decision making and the ability to prioritize, plan and measure work
  • Possesses the ability to influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute to the effectiveness of the organization
  • Possesses strong understanding of problem-solving techniques
  • Resolves conflicts and disputes by addressing multiple viewpoints to develop a mutually satisfying outcome
  • Must be able to communicate with large groups of people and with different levels of organization
  • Communicates information verbally and in writing in the appropriate language and format according to the audience.
